    Update:

    Upgraded to 3.5.0 across all hardware and still get fluctuating readings. I also attached a ground wire directly to the head and saw no improvement.

    @yoshimitsuspeed RRF can do finite axis rotations synchronised to other axes, however you are limited to 2^31 motor microsteps in each direction before resetting the position (e.g. using G92).

    Hi all,

    I’m looking to replace the below stepper motor. I saw on this post 2 there were gear mods required. I’m hoping to find a direct plug and play and have found three very close matches. (CW-Motor do not sell the original any longer).

    @achrn Can you please check on the Plugins -> External page in DWC if the DuetPi Management Plugin is started? The TLS limitation for HTTPS applies only to standalone mode.

    Hi all

    My Delta printer, with Duet WiFi 2, have started to skip steps. This is evident in layer shift. I suspect damaged stepper driver(s), as I once only received an error message of over temperature on stepper driver 1. My question is, will a once off event on over temperature cause stepper driver damage? And, I assume driver damage will cause step skipping?

    let me add a cable to ground the revo, just to strike this problem out. This will mean to me that I have to pull the plug of the printer and we loose the opportunity to have a look at a memory dump or similar according to my other problem.

    @droftarts - Ian, thanks for the clarification and additional info. I always learn something from this forum. Knowing that the endstops are ignored on all but H0 helps me understand more clearly how it works.

    The more important thing I learned is that there can only be one end stop per motor and the design we are using does indeed have two NC endstop switches wired in series. We have recently been contemplating separating these to two inputs because in normal use, this motor is at rest with one of them triggered. In this situation, we can only know which end of travel we are at rest on by keeping track of it in sw - a risky proposition that a second input would eliminate. Now we know there will be additional macro work to do if we follow that path (re-define the endstop before making any moves). That'll be something for us to really look hard at.

    I found another application that works quite easily and has the benefit of being able to adjust all the settings from the web interface.

    It's called picamera2-WebUI-Lite

    There's a slight error on the instructions to install and it doesn't tell you how to set it up as a service, so I've listed thesteps.

    To install.

    SSH into your PI (or open a terminal if using a desktop)

    Change directory

    cd /usr/local/bin/

    Clone the repositry

    sudo git clone https://github.com/monkeymademe/picamera2-WebUI-Lite.git

    Change directory

    cd /usr/local/bin/picamera2-WebUI-Lite

    Test that it's running

    python3 app.py

    Open your browser and go to
    http://raspberrypi.local:8080/

    To see just the video feed go to
    http://raspberrypi.local:8080/video_feed

    Go back to the terminal and hot CTRL + C to shut the app down

    To set it up as a service
    Change directory

    cd /etc/systemd/system

    Open a text editor to create a system service file

    sudo nano webui-lite.service

    Paste in the following

    [Unit] Description=Start script for WebUi-Lite as a service After=syslog.target network.target [Service] WorkingDirectory=/usr/local/bin/picamera2-WebUI-Lite/ ExecStart=/usr/bin/python3 /usr/local/bin//picamera2-WebUI-Lite/app.py Restart=always RestartSec=120 [Install] WantedBy=multi-user.target

    Press CTRL + X to exit and Y to save

    Reload the daemon

    sudo systemctl daemon-reload

    Enable the service

    sudo systemctl enable webui-lite.service

    NOTE that if you already have the other streamVideo service I listed above using Picamera you will have to disable it as you can't run both.

    sudo systemctl disable streamVideo.service

    Reboot the system to make sure the service starts

    sudo shutdown -r now

    Adjust your DWC settings as follows
    webui.png

    This will allow you to easily get to the settings page by clicking on the webcam image in DWC
    From there adjust your resolution and you can also zoom in a particular area using the scaler crop settings.

    @bpatt paneldue behavior is mostly fixed, changing it would mean changing the code and recompiling. Not unsurmountable, but not exactly straightforward either.

    I am pleased to announce that RRF finally has a compatible Stealthburner CAN-FD board. https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_DdqyPGN
    There are two versions that are compatible with RRF (and as a bonus are also compatible with klipper), the SB2040 Max v3 and the SB2040 Pro Max v3.

    The SB2040 Max v3 has the following main features

    TMC2209 driver

    LIS2DW onboard accelerometer

    Onboard LC1612 for Z Scanning Probe support. This is the same as the Duet3D SZP. It is also compatible with Duet3D scanning probe heads.

    MAX31865 onboard for PT100 support.

    The SB2040 Pro Max v3 swaps the TMC2209 for a TMC2240.

    Documentation will be on the teamgloomy wiki in the coming days.

    @selva_tvi ahhhh I'll need to think on this. On closer inspection of the Gcode file, your machine follows this logic

    T0 prints at Z=0.2

    T1 is called, tfree0.g is run
    Per tfree0.g, you move Z: G1 Z3 F500 ; up 3mm
    T1 nozzle moves to the next printing location: G1 X270.6 Y259.2 F4800

    What this means is Z is still equal to Z3, and doesn't go to the proper location until the start of 2, when G1 Z0.4 F1000 moves the T1 nozzle back to the correct height.

    I use Cura for my IDEX machine, and on the move following a tool change Cura re-writes the current Z position, so I don't see this issue (I have my tfree set up in a similar way as you, where I move the print head in it). What we should be doing (I think) is using the G1 command with a R2 and Z0 in your tpost0.g and tpost1.g

    Example: G1 R2 Z0. This will move the tool head back to the printing Z height.

    @Rat-Rig-CS thanks for your response and for how this had been handled.

    From our side part of the issue was between how warranty issues are handled when a product is supplied from a reseller, vs a board supplied with a complete product (be it a kit or an assembled machine):

    For a reseller supplied product, referral to the forum is the correct procedure. For a product incorporated in kit or complete machine we expect the manufacturer to handle the warranty process (and communicate with us directly, if there is a fault with the board).

    The basic idea being a machine sold as a complete product, which the manufacturer has control over would not be expected to have configuration or wiring issues that we want to debug here on the forum before confirming a hardware fault.

    We will update our T&Cs to make this clearer.

    @tristanryerparke Some notes:

    Do you need to be able to pause during your injected moves? Pausable macros are terminated when a job is actually paused and they don't resume at the same position. AFAIR the documentation also states that your macro should be able to recover from a pause on its own, so I don't think you gain much by changing to them If you don't need to be able to pause while your custom codes are being executed, consider executing them on the default SBC code channel once all pending codes are gone on File (see Flush command). Codes sent to this channel are not affected by pause/resume. When those codes have been executed, you may resolve your custom code and resume regular file execution DSF generally runs as dsf user. If you turn your script into a plugin, just make sure it has SD write permissions set (see here). If your plugin runs as dsf, it should not require any custom permissions in /opt/dsf/sd either.

    @meeloo @dc42 I just tried to reproduce this in SBC mode and G00 is interpreted as G0, and G01 is interpreted as G1. I couldn't see a difference between G00/G0 and G01/G1 from a USB terminal either.

    So I should have looked closer at the gcode before but it's actually quite messy so there could be this

    Anyway I setup a wipe tower for both extruders. Created a 40mm wide, .4mm thick pipe, sliced it in the place i want the wiping to happen with the two extruders separately, extracted the gcode for 1 layer for each, deleting the G1 Zx.xx instructions, and created a macro called wipetower.g executed on every tool changes. In the macro depending on the tool selected it will extrude the corresponding circles (2 lines wide for .2mm nozzle and 1 for .4mm) at the designated place.
    Will test and report

    I also redesigned the cooling system that i was not really happy with, should be much better

    I'll definitely look into having smoother walls for the organic support but I don't think we have much control over this...
