Go to System and use the "upload system files button" in DWC2.

Also when you change one side with right click, the other side reflects the change too.

I would imagine tool usage times would be quite useful for certain tool types like cutting heads, or lasers, or what have you, where preventative maintenance may prescribe change out before failure or reduced effectiveness.

@patakopecek Yes, I can add it to DWC2-RC4.

There is already an app for Android which does an mDNS broadcast in order to discover Duet WiFi boards on the local network but once you select a machine, it only displays the web interface in a web view. mDNS support on the DuetM and Duet Ethernet still needs to be implemented.

I wouldn't mind having the pop-up window if it had three option buttons: run, edit, cancel.

The confirmation aspect is important though because running a macro at the wrong time can have damaging consequences.

@doctrucker what's wrong with leaving it active? It's still off as long as no temp is set.

You don't need to alter the Z steps/mm, you can use M579.

@chrishamm I would try to include tooltips on gcodes (could be done on browser side) and gcode preview (could be done with three.js and some script that would convert the gcode to some supported format), I think a lot of work could be offloaded to browser or a separate running RPi (that would be a realllyyyy cool idea the more I think about it)

I think i will move this thread to DWC area and ask @chrishamm to add a "small screen touch friendly" skin for DWC to the wishlist. Not sure this can be a high priority right now with the other development ongoing.

Sounds good. With all the cheap android tables and old phones/ipads lying around that's a better option than having to deal with paneldue+fw upgrades and so on. I've never tried a panel due tho so I don't say it's bad but it's pricey and not environmental friendly to trash stuff I could have used instead 🙂

I highly recommend not putting your Duet onto the internet without using a VPN to protect it. It is not an "IOT" device and not designed to be exposed to the internet. Generally exposing Machine tools to the internet directly is not a good idea in my opinion!

If you want to access DWC remotely then setting up a secure remote desktop connection to a machine on your local network may be a better idea.
