I have Caprocorn too. I fixed it on both ends with some 3d printed brackets and reinforced my tube with some glass fiber tape (TESA MONOFILAMENT) and this way I get retraction under 2mm with 60cm bowden tube (for PLA).

The printed brackets do you use.... are downloadable? Thinguiverse maybe? Url?

@pierre52 Hmm, looks like that was authorization to a different person, unless you have two screen names on the forum.

@tlas thanks for the suggestion however it is very unlikely that we will incorporate AC power onto the Duet Mainboard. The isolation requirements alone make it not worth the additional cost when off board solutions work well.

I have the hot air desoldering equipment and I'll go ahead and order a new wifi module. To your point, I'm pretty sure I'm either hitting a thermal limit of the wifi chip and some failsafe is occurring - or simply overheating the chip to the point where it stops working.

I had a similar problem on the wifi unit before this one (~2 years ago). There is a lot of wifi noise in my neighborhood - I'm curious if that is causing the wifi module to fail earlier than it is supposed to. The metal right next to the wifi antenna in both situations probably doesn't help either.

Same thing has started happening again on the same FW version. I think a newer FW was recently released so will try that one to see if this was addressed?

it does appear to be the case that its ~80mA per RGBW section (20mA*4), with 20 sections per meter for this product.
Would the amps drawn be linear w/ the PWM range i.e. full 20mA per section at S255, but 2mA at S25.5?

I presume the message was actually "M205 command not supported". You can ignore the message. However, i don't think it should be generated if you set the GCode flavour in Cura to RepRapFirmware.

My Duet (or at least the wifi module) seems to be dead. I have contacted my reseller, but so far only get a recording and no call back. Email faired no better. I will give it more time to see what happens (have no choice).

I probably missed something. Because the commands look different than mine.

The downside of using extruder jerk is that it is not possible to apply pressure advance properly when there is extruder jerk.

I have attempted a fix in 2.02RC4 specifically to cover the case of using coast-to-end.

@dc42 the heat might be a red herring. I just tried it again and noticed that the WiFi light comes on immidialy and stays on. Before, it would blink three times, pause, and blink three more times and then stay on. I have looked the board over a few times and I can see no damage.

This really breaks my heart. I was making some very good progress. Fudge! I sent a message off to the reseller and I am a long time customer of his, so I’m pretty sure he will do what ever he can for me. Double fudge!!
