Get EBM Papst RLF 35-8/14 N FAN working on Duet Wifi
-
Hi guys,
i am trying to get the EBM Papst RLF 35-8/14 N FAN working on Duet Wifi board, but it goes not on.
When i connect the FAN directly to my power supply, then it works but not on FAN0 with M106 gcode.Have one of you experience with this FAN and can tell me maybe the used M106 gcode?
Firmwarename: RepRapFirmware for Duet 2 WiFi/Ethernet
Firmware Elektronik: Duet WiFi 1.02 or later
Firmware Version: 2.03 (2019-06-13b2)
WiFi Server Version: 1.23
Web Interface Version: 1.22.6Thx in advance.
best regards

check on the always on fan port first.
if it does not work there, check the wiring, crimping and the fan fuse.
check that the fan jumper is set to Vin

Some fans do not like PWM (pulse width modulation) so you may need to adjust the frequency sent to the fan.
It is the "F" command in the M106 settingM106: Fan On
ParametersPnnn Fan number (optional, defaults to 0)
Snnn Fan speed (0 to 255 or 0.0 to 1.0))
Extra ParametersInnn Invert PWM (I1), disable fan (I-1), or normal mode (I0, default) (not supported in RRF_3, use M950)
Fnnn Fan PWM frequency (not supported in RRF_3, use M950)
Lnnn Set the minimum fan speed (0 to 255 or 0.0 to 1.0) when a non-zero fan speed is requested.
Xnnn Set the maximum fan speed (0 to 255 or 0.0 to 1.0) when a non-zero fan speed is requested. (supported in RRF >= 2.02)
Bnnn Blip time - fan will be run at full PWM for this number of seconds when started from standstill. Default is B0.1.
Hnn:nn:nn... Enable thermostatic mode and select heaters monitored. H-1 disables thermostatic mode.
Rnnn Restore fan speed to the value it has when the print was paused (R1) or the last time the fan speed was set and no P parameter was provided (R2).
Tnnn or Tnn:nn Set thermostatic mode trigger temperature, to temperature control range
C"name" Set custom name for this fan (supported in RRF >= 2.01)
Ann Logical pin number that this fan is connected to (supported in RRF >= 2.02) (not supported in RRF_3, use M950) -
@Veti
jumper is set to VIN and wiring, crimping etc okay. When i connet the fan directly to my power supply 24V, it works. -
@JamesM
i guess that is exactly my problem... the fan do not like pwm.. i will try to play a little bit with the frequency.... -
please connect the fan to the always on to verify that it is working on the fan ports.
