Unsolved G32 G30 Auto Calibration Issues
-
Hello,
I'm in the midst of converting an Anycubic Kossel Linear Plus to Duet electronics and Haydn's magball arms. I am having difficulty with getting the auto-calibration to work properly, and I'm sure it's a very simple thing I have overlooked, but I've been stuck for a few days.
Running G28 followed by G30 produces results as expected. Tap the nozzle, probing stops.
When running G32, the effector descends, will not respond to Z-probe trigger, and crashes into the bed. Occasionally, when running calibration with a test height of M665 H100 instead of the H240 approximation I have below from my initial build and measurements, the effector will descend ~100mm, perform a Z probe going down 20mm dive height as specified in M558, not make contact with the bed, and fail the calibration due to no measurements.
I think I've included relevant information below. Let me know if there's any other information you need or if you have questions. Thanks!
TLDR, how do I stop my G32 from ignoring my z probe output and crashing into the bed?

G30
Running G30 should give you the height to put into M665.
Change your bed.g to run 6 factor calibration. (the default recommended one -> S6).
Normally there is no G28 in the Bed.g file

I think both of us might be confused here. Correct me if I'm wrong, but when G30 is called during auto calibration, triggering the Z probe should stop the effector. Correct? Currently, this is not the case with my setup.

home the printer
run M119
report the output.move the head down to where it should trigger.
then run M119 again
report the output.
