Solved Bang-Bang Heater Delays Between Layers?
-
I'm using bang-bang settings for a heater and experiencing significant delays when switching back to that tool (for the tool to reach within ~2C of the target temperature). Are there any gcode settings that will just go start printing rather than waiting?
Checked the slicer output and it's just normal 'T0' command switches in the gcode.
And before you ask, I need to use bang-bang heater tuning for my application.

RRF will only wait for tools to reach operating temperature if you have M116 in your tpost tool change file.

Why? I can not imagine any scenario where you could not run an SSR and user regular PID.

Thanks! - I don’t remember ever changing it, but I’ll look into it in more detail now. It is definitely waiting, although most often to cool down after an overshoot.

Wish I could give kudos - wasn't aware of the tpost.g functionality. Great stuff though!

You can! On the right side of each post, next to the "Reply Quote" are an up arrow, a number (usually 0) and a down arrow. Vote now! Though @dc42's 1.6k reputation already elevates him to an almost deity-like position around here. But then, he does write the firmware!
