G1 works on extruder but G0 does not
-
Hello All,
I am using a Duet for a non 3d printer project but the application sends a G0 command to the Extruder such as: G0 E120 F200. It is sending the T0 command as well before the move command.
I have checked in the web ui that I can move the extruder axis via G1 E120 F200 but I can not G0.
Any idea's?
Thanks in advance for your assistance.

Firmware version? Board type? I assume this is not 2.05.1.

G0 is a "rapid move", or travel move.
I would think that all extruder moves would be considered controlled linear moves hence requiring G1 -
if running RRF in 3d printer mode I was under the impression that G0 was functionally equivalent to G1 - only if using CNC or Laser mode was G0 actually treated as a rapid move?

I think you are running old firmware. A fix was done several versions ago to allow G0 E moves.

Thank you all for the fast response.
I checked the firmware version. the board has 2.0(RTOS) (2018-06-05b3) .
I will upgrade to the newest and see what happens.
Thanks again for the point in the right direction.

Fixed the issue with upgrade.
Thank you DC42 and everyone for the heads up. Should have done an upgrade from the start..
