No 5v on Duet 2 wifi
-
I recently bought a Duet 2 WIfi from Printed Solid and I am not getting onboard 5v even with the jumper in place. This is with the board powered by 24v form PS. 5v and 3.3v works when powered by USB. Checked the board fuse and there is continuity.
What are my options?

@jimoneil Most likely the 5V regulator has failed, which is marked U2 on the PCB; this is between the fan connections and the expansion connection. Please post a good, high resolution of your Duet. There will likely be a burn mark on the U2 chip if it has failed. Is there any possibility that you have shorted 24V to 5V?

This board is new the only thing that has been connected is the 24v connection and I was very careful to get the polarity right when connecting to the PS.

@jimoneil I think it would be helpfull if you managed to get a bit more light around the square chip designated U3 and more in focus. Looks like there might be something odd going on when looking at the laser engraving, but hard to make out any details.

Let me know if this is any better.

looks good; now back to your friendly neighborhood Duet3D admins

@jimoneil, I'm sorry your Duet isn't working properly. If you are certain that the 7.5A fuse appears intact, I approve a replacement under warranty. Please contact Printed Solid.

Thank you for the help.

I have the exact same issue with a board I just received. Works fine on usb. Doesn't boot on 24V. 7.5A fuse tests fine. Chip at U3 looks fine.

@atulin Sorry you're having problems with your Duet. But, please, start a new thread, so your situation can be dealt with individually. Post the same information and pictures, and the date and where you bought it.
