Duet3D filament sensor documentation
-
Hi,
Just a minor note regards the documentation for the Duet3D rotating magnet filament sensor:
Notice that it says:
"In normal operation the filament monitor will flash the green LED 3 times to indicate the magnet is detected. The green LED will then flash periodically red and green indicating communication to the Duet (the green flashes are position reports, the red ones are status reports)."
That is a bit misleading, to my way of thinking, in that the 3 LED flashes seem to only occur on power up and not during "normal operation".
Not a big deal but I did find it confusing as I hit my reset button a few times looking for the 3 flashes.
Thanks.
Frederick

Thanks for bringing this up. I'll take a look.

I've edited it to say "In normal operation, during initial power up, the filament monitor will flash the green LED 3 times to indicate the magnet is detected."
Does that more accurately capture what's happening?

Adding the reference to power up certainly would have avoided my confusion.
Thank you.
