Paneldue 7i incorrect display
-
Hello,
Just picked up my first Duet 3 Board with a PanelDue 7i for a Voron 2.4 build.
I am attempting to setup my Duet 3 board and panelDue for bench testing and to play around with.
So far I have updated to the most recent approved firmware, Duet 3 is 3.1.1 and Paneldue is 1.24 both confirmed through M115 command and PanelDue setup tab.
I have a very rough draft Config going for the voron with a dummy tool.
PROBLEM
When i power on both units with 24v supply (No USB) the paneldue will briefly display the nozzle and macro buttons before the disappear and the display reads "IDLE" top right.I have issued the M575 P1 S1 B57600 and have no issue with the PanelDue talking to the main board.
Could this be due to my incomplete Config File?config.g
Also if anyone has any experience settings up a voron 2.4 with a duet 3 I would love the help!
Thanks,
ken

picture? and which firmware name did you use to update?

PanelDue-5.0i-7.0i V1.24
I took some screen shots of a slow motion video. First it starts up showing hot end, then that disappears and the macro buttons flash and then those go away.
First Start, shows hotend
Hot end goes away, but shows empty Macro buttons(I have macros populated in folder)
After connecting and IDLE, I can use console so i know its connected.

Ah,thanks for the pictures, I see what you mean now.
So the heater symbol disappear when the PanelDue connects with the Duet. I would think the issue was the config, but at a glance it looks like you have a heater configured.
Does DuetWebControl show the heater?

Hot end is shown, I clearly do not have anything else plugged in besides board power and PanelDue.

Hot end is shown
it shows the bed and the chamber?
someone will probably spot the config issue.

I see it doesnt show the Hot end as heater 1

@bearer Was able to solve the issue. I was not defining my tool correctly.
I had,
M563 P0 H0 S
and changed,
M563 P0 D0 H1
which makes sense because H0 is bed not extruder.
This brought the extruder to the screen as well as the macros.
Thank you for your help!
