Duet3 initial setup
-
Can I setup a Duet3 on a tablet, only plugged into USB, Panel Due for initial setup as I did on my Duet2?
Can I use a Duet3 with a RPi4 and a PanelDue at the same time?
Like the first question, can I plug a Duet3 into a RPi4 and for initial setup without all the motors and other devices plugged in (only usb power)?
I ask, as the Duet3 setup page says minimal requirements includes motors/all electronics plugged in....
Thanks!

Found this...
https://duet3d.dozuki.com/Wiki/SBC_Setup_for_Duet_3That answered my main question.
Still curious on if I can use a PanelDue with the Duet3 when using a RPi4... Hesitant to just plug it in and see... And don't know why.

i havnt seen a mention that it does not work. if your wiring is correct there should be no problem plugging it it.

@Veti
"Appears" like the wiring could be different then Duet2....Will have to look into it, as the cable doesn't just plug in like it didn't on my Duet2 (but bought the Duet2 years ago, and may just not be remembering it it correctly).

Yes you can. You need M575 P1 B57600 S1 in config.g to enable PanelDue on IO_0, and RRF 3.1.1 or later.

the duet3 6hc does have a universal 5 pin IO connector instead the old dedicated 4 pin paneldue connector, but i believe there is a picture of the pinout in the duet 3 docs.

I am using a Duet3 board with a Raspberry Pi4 in SBC configuration and a PanelDue, so yeah -- that's working (-:
