dual z axis sync and bltouch issues..
-
Hey Gang,
I have a CR10S with 2 Z motors, every X time, the motor on the right seems to get out of adjustment or not synchronized well, but I never get a correct bed leveling, I always have to move the rod a little on the side of that motor.
I leave my configuration waiting for someone to tell me if I have something wrong configured or I have left something, I thank you in advance for your help.

You don't need P3 on your M584 as its doing nothing
You won't be gaining anything having x256 microstepping so you should switch back to x16 with interpolation. x256 will probably overload the duet.
I don't see an M671 anywhere which will be why you levelling isn't working -
@FeedingFilament I don't see an M671 command in your config.g that defines the location of the leadscrews. When levelling with the two G30 commands in your bed.g, it needs these to calculate how much to adjust each leadscrew. I'm not sure what is used as the default without this.
See M671 command: https://duet3d.dozuki.com/Wiki/Gcode?revisionid=HEAD#Section_M671_Define_positions_of_Z_leadscrews_or_bed_levelling_screws
and guide to levelling with independent Z: https://duet3d.dozuki.com/Wiki/Bed_levelling_using_multiple_independent_Z_motorsYou must use the M671 command to define the X and Y coordinates of the leadscrews. The M671 command must come after the M584 command and must specify the same number of X and Y coordinates as the number of motors assigned to the Z axis in the M584 command; and these coordinates must be in the same order as the driver numbers of the associated motors in the M584 command. The M671 command must also come after any M667 or M669 command.

M308 S0 P"bedtemp" Y"thermistor" T100000 B4138
M308 S1 P"e0temp" Y"thermistor" T100000 B4138Also, you're using the default thermistor values, which are unlikely to be correct for your thermistors. See if you can find the correct values for the CR10S.

Hi,
I really do not like the configuration tool. It doesn't "think" the way I do.
Consider these lines from bed.g;
M561 ; clear any bed transform G29 ; probe the bed and enable compensation G28 ; home G30 P0 X30 Y100 Z-99999 ; probe near a leadscrew, half way along Y axis G30 P1 X180 Y100 Z-99999 S2 ; probe near a leadscrew and calibrate 2 motors
Since G32 invokes bed.g and G32 is used for, in your case, auto bed leveling why is the height map for mesh compensation created there (G29) and before the bed is homed and leveled?
Consider these lines from homeALL.g:
G1 H2 X5 Y20 F6000 ; go to first bed probe point and home Z G30 ; home Z by probing the bed
and these lines from homeZ.g:
G1 X15 Y15 F6000 ; go to first probe point G30 ; home Z by probing the bed
Where does that tool get those X and Y values? And why the H2 in the line from homeALL.g?
Anyway here is what I was taught:
-
When setting the Z=0 datum with G30 it should always be at the same XY position and that the center of the bed is best.
-
When executing a G29 to create/load the height map for mesh compensation you must always set the Z=0 datum first.
I would get rid of the G29 in the bed.g file and move it whatever code you execute when starting a print. And don't forget to set the Z=0 datum first.

Thanks @droftarts @jay_s_uk @fcwilt
I think I am making some progress with the issues, which I had, at the moment I can do a more or less decent print test, I have taken some of your suggestions and "I think" that I am on the right track.
- The steps I have taken have been
Z leadscrew coordinates (-20.0,100.0) (325.0,100.0), factor 1.00, maximum correction 1.00mm, manual adjusting screw pitch 0.50mm
Then:
3/4/2021, 7:11:40 PM G30 S-1 Stopped at height 0.805 mm 3/4/2021, 7:11:08 PM Leadscrew adjustments made: -0.065 -0.117, points used 2, (mean, deviation) before (-0.084, 0.011) after (0.000, 0.000) 3/4/2021, 7:10:42 PM G32 30 points probed, min error -0.168, max error 0.130, mean -0.023, deviation 0.068 Height map saved to file 0:/sys/heightmap.csv

Hi,
Did you read and understand what I posted?
Your configuration files are still a bit of a mess.
I will be glad to try to clarify what I posted.

@fcwilt many thanks! so apart from eliminating the G29 from the bed.g
I think I have understood the rest and I believe that I have followed the same process, I will tell you if I am right or I am doing something wrong.

@fcwilt I am trying to figure out the height of the offset for that from the center of the bed. Then I lower the nozzle to 0, I adjust the bed with the paper, I do a height test to know how high it is and I modify it in the config.g. This is how I configure the distance from the nozzle to the bed.

OK now I see what you are doing.
I always install a Z axis endstop sensor so I can home all my axes first and start from there - so my approach to determining the Z probe trigger height is a bit different.
