Damn BLTouch pin
-
In my experience, it won't be your last. I hate the damn things.
-
Current plan is to trick the new pin into showing itself by repairing the old pin. I will attempt to drill a tiny hole into the tip of the pin and then insert a needle into that hole (possibly epoxied). This will make up for the missing tip of the old pin.

I bought them in bulk the last time I needed one and put them in the parts drawer. Haven't needed one since. ( I switched to stall detection on Z after I borked the pin and haven't bothered to switch back yet )

@phaedrux, where did you find them in bulk? Or are the clones from China?

Is buying multiples still considered bulk?
At 5$ a piece it doesn't take long to get free shipping (120$)

@phaedrux Cool - the last price I saw from them was I think $12.50. These must be clone pins .... certainly more reasonable price.

@phaedrux It's a pretty damn good price for the original and much more reasonable then the old price!
Thanks ! -
Decided that I am a gambler at heart and ordered a set of 5 pins from Aliexpress for less than $4 total.

I love it when a plan comes together - drilled a tiny hole (around 0.6 mm) into the pin going maybe 15 mm deep. I had a damaged tip cleaner wire (0.37 mm) that had a kink in it. Turns out that the kink works perfectly to hold the wire in place, didn't have to epoxy it or anything.
It's working as good as new !
