Duet 3 mini 5+ wifi phantom SBC. Can't use networking.
-
Finally setting up my duet 3 mini 5+ today, loaded up the fw and once i power on and (i think) flash the firmware correctly I get this error while trying to connect it to my wifi any help would be loved

Are you using a single board computer like a raspberry pi? If so, you would use the pi for networking and not the duet.

@phaedrux no im not (which is the even stranger part) and I have sdc turned off on the config as well. super strange for it to be acting like this with it turned off
-
Can you show a photo of what you have connected to the Duet?
-
@phaedrux for the pc connected its a surface go, however I have also used this same surface to boot up rrf on a duet before so i dont believe that to be the problem. ive re formated the sd card, and tried a new one. I have a strange suspicion for what ever reason its not properly flashing the new firmware and using what ever came on it. not sure how that could happen though
-
And you've used this method to update the firmware?
https://duet3d.dozuki.com/Wiki/Installing_and_Updating_Firmware#Section_Duet_3_Mini_5_WiFi_Ethernet
What version does it report when you send M115?
-
@phaedrux doing M115 shows FIRMWARE_VERSION: 3.2-beta3.2+1 ELECTRONICS: Duet 3 Mini5plus WiFi im guessing i should update this. on a side(ish) note, were is the erase jumper on the board? i cant seem to find it on both the board and the wiring diagram online.
-
@no-one-special nvm, i see you just double press the reset button haha, thats simple
-
@phaedrux just updated to 3.4 beta 3. sadly still the same issue (and it does say using m115 thats its 3.4 beta 3) might it be a problem with the online configurator? or something ive done?
-
@no-one-special (just to show im not crazy)
-
And there is nothing plugged into the SBC connector on the board?
-
@phaedrux nope, nothing connected. Its super strange whats happening
-
@no-one-special just tried with another duet 3 mini 5+ i have. its working fine, even running 3.2 beta so thats even more troubling.
-
@no-one-special my guess is that there is a problem with the SD card socket. Please email warranty@duet3d.com with a link to this thread.
