Sudden 'Probe was not triggered...'
-
I have a delta
Board: Duet 3 MB6HC (MB6HC)
DSF Version: 3.3.0
Firmware: RepRapFirmware for Duet 3 MB6HC 3.3 (2021-06-15)
Attached Raspberry PiAfter months and months of faultless behaviour (since I comissioned it) suddenly this morning I couldn't complete a mesh bed level or delta calibration. It starts OK, then I get "Probe was not triggered during probing move".
The point that failed was always in about the same place - on a 12-point calibrate it's the 9'o'clock point (so it's managed the first nine points) and on a mesh bed level it's not the nearest point to that, but it's the next one after the nearest, so similar location.
Having unplugged and re-plugged connectors on the smart effector, a calibrate completes, but I still can't mesh bed level. Now the point that fails is one just before the 9'o'clock point on the bed.
If I put the head in about that location but just above the bed and tap the nozzle, the indicator light flicks on as I expect.
No changes to firmware or config recently (none since firmware upgrade to 3.3 soon after release), but yesterday I did have the electronics enclosure open and moved some cables around, so I'm thinking I've either provoked a bad connection or I've moved something such that I'm getting interference between cables. I did complete a couple of prints after doing that, though.
Before I randomly shuffles cables or rewire all connections, is there anything else I might have missed?

Possibly a break in the cable being aggravated at that position?

I started to investigate this, opened up the enclosure to check wiring, and it went back to working before I actually fixed anything.
So, I think it is a wire break or a bad conenction or something susceptible to movement, but at the moment it's working again, so I'll leave it alone for a bit.
Thanks.

Gaaah! Last night a 28-hour print job failed (heater fault) at about 23 hours in. Now the nozzle heater won't come on (output indicator LED lights up on the MB6HC, doesn't light up on the smart effector), so I'm thinking I definitely shouldn't have just 'left it alone'.
Not that I'm looking for any advice, just sounding off at myself!
