Solved duet 3hc expansion board not sync ,problem with speed of CAN
-
Please review this document
https://docs.duet3d.com/en/User_manual/Machine_configuration/CAN_connection
Do you have a G4 S5 pause command near the start of your config.g to give the expansion boards time to startup before trying to connect?
Please share your config.g
Please post the results of M122 and M122 B# where # is the can bus address of the expansion board.
-
@mafo have you set your 6HC back to the default 1Mbit CAN speed?
-
@dc42 Hi,
well, any command can make 6HC work on 4MBit? B0 is on M952 out of range

@mafo said in duet 3hc expansion board not sync ,problem with speed of CAN:
RepRapFirmware for Duet 3 MB6HC version 3.1.0
I think you should update your main firmware to 3.4.5 and try re-setting the expansion again. If it will connect, it will need to be updated as well.
Try uploading this zip file to the system tab in DWC.
https://github.com/Duet3D/RepRapFirmware/releases/download/3.4.5/Duet2and3Firmware-3.4.5.zip

@mafo why are you trying to use 4Mbit CAN speed? Is there a problem with the default 1Mbit?
The 3HC boards should revert to the default 1Mbit speed when you power them up with all switches on; so you will need to set the 6HC to 1Mbit to communicate with them.

@dc42 how to set B0 main duet 6HC to any Mbit?
normal m-command do not want to change B0 Mbit nor M953 is not supported. I ve tried many firmwares, includin last beta, now will try on 3.4.5 and different sd, i ve turned off sbc, couse it was never blinking 4 times(diag) with sbc. -
@mafo ah I see the problem: M952 no longer accepts B0. We're just about to release RRF 3.5beta2 so I'll include a fix for that.
-
@mafo you can try the provisional 3.5beta2 firmware for your MB6HC at https://www.dropbox.com/sh/v2ouii3o9lft7tf/AABgiwh3-tAtqrgura-PyQ56a?dl=0. When you have reset the CAN speed you can revert to 3.4.x again.
M952 B0 with no other parameters returns this on my 6HC:
m952b0 CAN bus speed 1000.0kbps, tseg1 0.54, jump width 0.17

Thank You for support, best wishes for future development, actually I'm also building cnc 3kw water, on duet family.
