Interpolation not working?

Here is a video with interpolation for XY on

and here is it switched off

[[language]] M350 X16 Y16 I0; Configure microstepping without interpolation M350 Z16 E16 I1 ; Configure microstepping with interpolation ```The videos show me jogging the head around via DWC I'll be honest, I can't tell much difference in terms of noise or motion. Is it not always obvious the affect interpolation has?

The effect of turning interpolation on/off varies with speed. On my delta it makes a lot of difference during printing, but much less during homing.

I can't see the difference… Someone hace a printed object with /without interpolation?
dc42... In what kind of prints it's more useful interpolation? And when it's no recomendable his use? What drawbacks have?

The main benefit of interpolation from x16 to x256 microstepping is that it makes the printer much quieter. I don't expect it to affect print quality at all.

I can quite happily confirm that whilst for the last 18 months or so (has it been that long?) I've used 1/16th interpolated for all axes, I did have a period recently of using 1/4 for extruder which turns off interpolation for XYZ. It was a lot noisier but printed exactly the same.
