Extruder motor suddenly stoped.

Well so this night i had a strange ting happen to me, in the middle of a print (everything were going smooth) the extruder motor just stopped working.
I canceled the print and pulled out the filament, and then tried to run the extruder manually from the paneldue, but it just makes a faint thud and it seems like it tries to make a step but can't do it.
Is this a sign of a dead driver or a motor? Everything is just a couple month's old so i think it's a little early for either lol.EDIT:
Well so i just remapped the tool to drive 4 and switched the connector, and the same happens on that drive so i guess that at least leaves out that the drive is burnt. -
The most likely cause of this is a bad crimp connection in the motor cable. Also check that the motor shaft can rotate freely.

Hmm ok? Strange that that should suddently happen in the middle of a 8hr print, but i'll check it!

Ok now i'm lost. I just tried to hook up the Y motor to driver 4. And it does the same thing there so it's something with the board o.O Haven't had time to check the config but at least it's not the stepper or the wires/connectors.

How did you connect the drive - simply plug it in to the connector on the board? If so, then did you change the motor current? I'm just thinking that extruder motors are usually set to a lower current than axis motors so if you tried to move the Y axis with the current set for an extruder, it may be too low, and would give you a problem.
It's just that in your first post, you discounted the board, now you are saying it is the board so there is some inconsistency in what you are reporting.
Oh and have you been disconnecting the power when you connect/disconnect the steppers?

How i connected the drive? I powered of the board and waited for the leds to turn off. Then i did the disconnect/connect. I've been running all the motors on 900mA for two months without a problem so i doubt it was that.

I'm at a total loss here. I I know for sure it ain't the motors or leads that's the problems since I've swapped swapped around on the connectors(powered off when doing so) and the problems stay native to driver 3&4. Even though driver 4 were unused and not hooked up to anything before the problem arose, so it shouldn't be bad without being used?

Are you certain the problem happens with that motor connected to driver 3 or 4, but not if it is connected to driver 0, 1 or 2?
Does DWC show any under-voltage events after the problem occurs?
Are the VIN terminal block screws on the Duet still tight?

Ok I've got it working again. Almost embarrassed to say it, but i think it's 30% user error. Or well i didn't find anything about it everywhere so i strictly didn't know about the "feature"
Most likely it was a bad crimp or connection in one wire that made the initial mid print problem. And after i fixed that, i actually didn't know that the heater had to be on for the extruder to work (it was active but the temp was at 0c ). So in a final last attempt before ripping out the board and looking for shitstains i set the tool to 220c and the bed to 60c (without filament installed) and tried again. Law and behold now it works.
One never know how little knowledge one have before it's acquired!

These days we get very few reports of failed TMC2660 drivers. That's why I thought it most unlikely that your board had 2 of them.
