G32 factors
-
Hi,
while doing a big print I noticed that my dimensions are a bit of and I suspect my diagonal rod length.
To check that, I wanted to include the rod length in to my G32 routine, to see if that is close to my manual measurement.The wiki lists 4, 6, 7, 8, and 9 factors, however the rff configurator lists 3, 6, 10 and 12 in the compensation section. How do those different factors go together?
Cheers

@sungod3k Have a look art this part of the documentation:
https://duet3d.dozuki.com/Wiki/Calibrating_a_delta_printer#Section_Setting_up_the_bed_g_file
(the whole page is worth reading)
If you want to adjust the diagonal rod lengths you want 7 or 9 factor, but it is normally recommended this is measured accurately if possible, rather than adjusted:
For typical delta printer builds, 6-factor is best. You should be able to measure the diagonal rod length accurately enough, and for auto calibration to be able to determine it accurately, you need probe points that are well outside the triangle formed by the towers.

@sungod3k said in G32 factors:

one is the auto calibration 4,6,7,8 configuration
and the other are points to probe the bed at 3,6,10,12two different things.
