Duet Gen 3 Teaser

I was thinking about your three levels of gantries, (1) hotend, (2) extruder, and (3) counter balance. Theoretically #2 could be fed with only the low frequencies of the movement of #1 and with some lookahead planing. Just to be in the general area. This may also eliminate the need for #3. Also, have you consider having #2 on separate frame/legs than #1, this way it cannot induce vibration to the frame of #1, eliminating #3.

@zapta If you take a look at my blog you'll see that #3 has no effect on print quality which is just fine. It simply stabilises the printer when running at high speed. If I was starting from scratch, I probably wouldn't bother to add it but having already spent the time and money, there is nothing to gain by removing it.

Bugger. I've spent the last 66 years keeping a low profile. Hardly any pictures of me exist. I don't "do" any social media. No twitter, no Facebook, nothing. But now I have been thrust into the limelight...........
Well deserved recognition for having created such an amazing machine!
