Commands to set heaters/bed to active/standby/off
-
Hi,
I cannot find commands to change the state of the heaters/bed to active/standby/off, as desired.
I was thinking there would be commands to change state while keeping the current temperature settings.
Thanks.

@fcwilt think the documentation is behind a little here. The only thing I could find about switching the heaters off was for the heatbed:
M140 S-273
I'm guessing G10 with similar settings would achieve the same goal for tool heaters, but loose your settings. I think DWC looses the set points when you turn the heaters off which implies to me turning them off looses the settings.
What are you trying to achieve? I'm assuming most slicers have conditional gcode like Slic3r. I'm guessing you could use this to recall temperature set points?
Update edit:
G10 P0 R-273 S-273
...just sets standby and active temps for tool 0 to -273. It does not turn it off.
Neither of the following set the heater to off. The 104 and 109 commands are both depreciated anyway:M104 S-273 M109 S-273

I think it's been requested in the firmware wishlist section to have seperate gcodes for this already and been given a positive reception.

@Phaedrux fair enough. But out of interest how do you turn the heaters to the off state as can be achieved with DWC?

I wish I could find the thread as it had a bit of info from DC42 on how it currently works.
One other thing to keep in mind is that the slicers currently don't really support the temperature control options currently available.

Thanks to all.
I did not realize that this had been an topic in the past.
