pressure advance & nimble

Hi,
does anybody use Pressure adv. and the Nimble? if yes have you modificatet the Nimble settings? if yes which settings?
I have the feeling that through adv. pressure of 0.08 the printer is quite slow.my settings :
M566 X900 Y900 Z12 E40 ; Set maximum instantaneous speed changes (mm/min) M203 X30000 Y30000 Z1200 E4800 ; Set maximum speeds (mm/min) M201 X700 Y700 Z250 E120 ; Set accelerations (mm/s^2)
regards

you will need to increase the extuder jerk and acceleration. PA needs to do quick and short retracts. otherwise it will slow down the print.

I'm interested in results to compare with mine as the test I did with zesty nimble shows it can't handle the speed nor it can handle the quick change in direction required for PA. I'm waiting for new motors to arrive to test the original (flex3drive) for the same thing, supposedly it is much better and should work but untill I try...

The reduction ratio in the Nimble V1 does restrict the max retract speed that can be done but to be honest it is more than sufficient also the Flex3Drive has even more reduction than the nimble.
In short PA and an RDD don't really go together IMHO.

Hi,
Why do you think PA is needed? Are you having problems with a Nimble?

PA of 0.08 shouldn't require any large/fast retractions... So I doubt max retract speed would be a major problem. The only thing I imagine might be causing an issue would be the faster starts that PA would attempt.
I'd try to increase acceleration a bit to see if it helped.

HI,
sorry for the delay! why i test the pressure adv. is to learn and understand the funktions from my 3d printer.
So i try functions and if it will work vor me i will use it, and if it not works i will try to undertand why it is unusable for my printer. -
E jerk of 40 is very low. I use between 70-90 which is also very low.
One thing to keep in mind is that as volumetric extrusion rate decreases, PA becomes less affected by e jerk. Low e jerk values will stop influencing the print speed negatively at a low enough volumetric flow rate.
E acceleration has no effect on PA, but it does have an effect on print speed overall.
