Scale is doubled, steps/mm no help
-
After initial calibration on my Delta (formerly anycubic predator) the X,Y, and Z are moving 200mm when commanded to move 100. Found this beauty out when I jammed my smart effector into the bed
Steps on the reprap calibration tool were at 80 so I changed to 40 to halve it, and no change was made. What am I missing here? Thanks in advance!

post your config.
maybe you selected the wrong microstepping. i.e x8 instead of x16 -
also check your Config-overide file to see if anything has got in there?

@Veti Here's my most recent try at a config. I'm super new to this so it might be a very obvious mistake

@Reista said in Scale is doubled, steps/mm no help:
M92 X160.00 Y160.00 Z160.00 E663.00 ; set steps per mm
Doesn’t look like you halved it, you doubled it! Change the X160 Y160 Z160 to X80 Y80 Z80

@droftarts Nothing was working no matter what the number it was 2x. After putting in some .9 degree motors who's data sheet i had in hand to be sure i was fiddling with settings even more and Z was set to ballscrew! (not by me, this was a fresh config file) but after changing it to belt and restarting all seems to be well. I told you it would probably be something stupid lol Thanks for the help guys
These new drives are buttery smooth, but also maybe that's just the duet

@Reista Glad you got sorted. For future reference, always mention that you use 0.9 degree motors because if don't, people will assume that you are using the more common 1.8 degree motors. So for 20 tooth 2mm pitch pulleys, your steps per mm are indeed 160 but if you were using the more common 1.8 degree motors, they would be 80.
