2 Questions, first I have a 2 wire PT100 for my hot end which goes all the way back to a max31865 board. The documentation seems to indicate I need to jumper some pins on the smart effector but mine doesn't seem to have the pins, just empty pads.

Second, I have been using an IR probe with 3 wires. If I use the 4th wire where would that wire go on my duet 0.8.5 or is it not possible to use the control wire with this board?

Edit: 3rd question, my print cooling fan currently only has 1 wire back to the duet, do I need to add a second?

If you only have two PT100 wires going from the Smart Effector back to the MAX31865 board, you don't need to jumper any pins.

Yes it is possible, connect the control wire to the Duet 0.8.5 pin marked Mod on the Z probe connector.

If your print cooling fan is the same voltage as the heater, you can use a single positive wire connected to both Heater+ and PrintFan+ on the Smart Effector.

@dc42 one other thing, on the sensor connector there is 1 GND point but I have a GND to the Probe and to the PT100 (I think anyway). Can they be joined together or does the second wire from the PT100 go to one of the T connections so use both T1 and T2?

Edit: Nevermind, I think I put the pt100 wires to Pins 2 and 3.
