      Not only they teasing us with new toys; they're asking for help testing it.

      I'm sure some of you lot here would be a good fit;

      *) no idea if it is a hotend, wild guessing.

        If you follow the link in that tweet, you will find that it is indeed a hot end.

          Right you are!

          Figured I'd need a new extruder to test a new hotend anyway so didn't bother opening the link.

          Turned out my local dealer didn't order any Hemeras before supplies dried up so its all hurry up and wait (or try to convince Up Mini to print some spares for an Wade's extruder that have scars from fighting dinosaurs in times long forgotten..)

            If it's what I think it is, you may not need a new extruder if you are already using a recent E3D hot end.

              new extruder

              maybe not a new one, but a reliable one 😄
              (or at the very least, a working one)

                @bearer Speaking of dinosaur extruders, I recently had to print one of these (after fixing the openscad file) as my last one was printed from rather brittle plastic and shattered!

                Printed with my backup extruder, which I printed in 2011!

                  Not seen one of those in a while!

                    @jay_s_uk I'm still using up 3mm filament, not many newer 3mm extruder drivers around! I'd love a Bondtech 3mm extruder, but can't justify the expense.

                      @droftarts I used one of those on my old Prusa i3 clone. I was so glad when I got a Titan 🙂
