2 questions. Do I need an SD card in the Duet 3 with the PI connected ?
And should the Red Diag light be illuminated ?

1). You'll want to remove the SD card when running in SBC mode (with Pi connected)

Since the SD card normally holds your printer config files, they will be placed in a directory on the Pi instead.

2). When running in SBC mode, the Red diag LED will blink every second.

Here's a good resource if you haven't already seen it:

No, should not have a SD card or ethernet connected to Duet 3 when using with raspberry pi.

Diag should blink if firmware is running normally afaik

@jpomo10 Thank you. Blinking every second is about right 🙂 Now to get the IR sensor working so I can home things 🙂
