Z-Probe Problems after Update from 3.0 to 3.1.1
-
Hello,
i have done an Update from 3.0 to 3.1.1 on my Duet Maestro. So now i have Problems with my Z-Probe with an inductive Sensor.
Message in Console:29.6.2020, 10:01:16 Error: Z probe already triggered before probing move started 29.6.2020, 10:01:15 Error: Z probe already triggered at start of probing move 29.6.2020, 10:01:14 Error: Z probe already triggered at start of probing move 29.6.2020, 10:01:13 Error: Z probe already triggered at start of probing move 29.6.2020, 10:01:12 G32 Error: Z probe already triggered at start of probing move
I thing the Problem is to invert the Z-Probe. This was changed in 3.1?
So i tryed to change it.
My 3.0 Config:; Z-Probe M558 P5 C"zprobe.in" H8 F60 B0 I1 T12000 ; set Z probe type to switch and the dive height + speeds G31 P500 X5 Y35 Z3.15 ; set Z probe trigger value, offset and trigger height M557 X12.5:230 Y40:225 P3:3 ; define mesh grid
So i changed it now to:
; Z-Probe M558 P5 C"^zprobe.in" H8 F60 B0 T12000 ; set Z probe type to switch and the dive height + speeds G31 P500 X5 Y35 Z3.15 ; set Z probe trigger value, offset and trigger height M557 X12.5:230 Y40:225 P3:3 ; define mesh grid
But it doesnt work Can anyone help me?

To invert the probe signal you need to use
!
. The^
is used to enable the pullup resistor. You should also verify that 3.1.1 is actually installed be sending M115.
Also, send M98 P"config.g" and report any error messages.

M115 reports Firmware 3.1.1M98 P"config.g" reports:
M98 P"config.g" HTTP is enabled on port 80 FTP is disabled TELNET is disabled Warning: Heater 0 appears to be over-powered. If left on at full power, its temperature is predicted to reach 365C Error: Can't change sensor number of existing heater Warning: Heater 0 appears to be over-powered. If left on at full power, its temperature is predicted to reach 208C
It looks like i must change the Heater Configs!?
Regards Manuel

How about config-override.g as well.

Compare your heater block to the one I just generated in the configurator.
Yours:
; Heaters M308 S0 P"bedtemp" Y"thermistor" T100000 B3950 ; configure sensor 0 as thermistor on pin bedtemp M950 H0 C"bedheat" T0 ; create bed heater output on bedheat and map it to sensor 0 M140 H0 ; map heated bed to heater 0 M143 H0 S120 ; set temperature limit for heater 0 to 120C M307 H0 B0 S1.00 ; disable bang-bang mode for the nozzle heater and set PWM limit M308 S1 P"e0temp" Y"thermistor" T100000 B4725 C7.06e-8 ; configure sensor 1 as thermistor on pin e0temp M950 H1 C"e0heat" T1 ; create nozzle heater output on e0heat and map it to sensor 1 M143 H1 S280 ; set temperature limit for heater 1 to 280C M307 H1 B0 S1.00 ; disable bang-bang mode for the nozzle heater and set PWM limit M308 S2 P"ctemp" Y"thermistor" A"Chamber" T100000 B3950 ; configure sensor 2 as thermistor on pin ctemp M950 H2 T2
Generated:
; Heaters M308 S0 P"bedtemp" Y"thermistor" T100000 B4138 ; configure sensor 0 as thermistor on pin bedtemp M950 H0 C"bedheat" T0 ; create bed heater output on bedheat and map it to sensor 0 M307 H0 B0 S1.00 ; disable bang-bang mode for the bed heater and set PWM limit M140 H0 ; map heated bed to heater 0 M143 H0 S120 ; set temperature limit for heater 0 to 120C M308 S1 P"e0temp" Y"thermistor" T100000 B4138 ; configure sensor 1 as thermistor on pin e0temp M950 H1 C"e0heat" T1 ; create nozzle heater output on e0heat and map it to sensor 1 M307 H1 B0 S1.00 ; disable bang-bang mode for heater and set PWM limit M308 S2 P"ctemp" Y"thermistor" T100000 B4138 ; configure sensor 2 as thermistor on pin ctemp M950 H2 C"e1heat" T2 ; create chamber heater output on e1heat and map it to sensor 2 M307 H2 B0 S1.00 ; disable bang-bang mode for the chamber heater and set PWM limit M141 H2 ; map chamber to heater 2
Note the extra values for the chamber heater. Do you have an active heater for the chamber or is it just to monitor.

I think to invert the probe you need an ! rather than the ^. I think that ^ just enables a pull up resistor.
Edit: I see I'm late to the game.

@Phaedrux here is my config-override.g :

I have no Chamber Heater (Heat up with Heatbed), only a Temperature Sensor and 2 Macros to power on the Chamber Fans:

@Twister said in Z-Probe Problems after Update from 3.0 to 3.1.1:
I have no Chamber Heater
In that case you could remove this part
M950 H2 C"e1heat" T2 ; create chamber heater output on e1heat and map it to sensor 2 M307 H2 B0 S1.00 ; disable bang-bang mode for the chamber heater and set PWM limit M141 H2 ; map chamber to heater 2

Thx so i see the Chamber Temp. in the Extra Tab in the WebIF. Is it possible to show up the Chamber Temp. in the Display?

Where do you mean? A screen shot says a thousand words.

Hello again,
here in the Webinterface i see under Extras the Chamber Temperature Sensor (Sensor 2):
Can i rename it, so that appears "Champer Temperature" in the WebInterface?
And is it possible to show up the Temperature in the PanelDue Display?

Are you using the code snip I posted? I did not include a name like yours did. So add an A"Chamber Temperature" to the M308.
M308 S2 P"ctemp" Y"thermistor" A"Chamber"

Unfortunately not at this time.
