-
Hello,
I bought 4 of the E3D ToolChanger & Motion System Bundle - Duet
Wi-Fi / 240V, one of them seems to be defective.
Failure: M21: Cannot initialise SD card 0: Card is unusableHowever the other 3 Boards can read the same SD Card with no
problem! How do I get the bug fixed?
Is the device broken? -

However the other 3 Boards can read the same SD Card with no
problem!add a close up picture of the sd card socket and run
M122
on the board that fails and copy/paste the full output hereThats usually what the Duet people ask for to evaluate such a problem.

@sustainability for testing and possible SD issues, see https://duet3d.dozuki.com/Wiki/SD_Card#Section_Troubleshooting_SD_Card_issues
Go through that and report back.

Thanks for the answer.
The goods were bought on 19th of June this year and is therefore in the period of warranty -
@droftarts we tried that. but it doesn't solve the problem

add a close up picture of the sd card socket and run M122 on the board that fails and copy/paste the full output here
usaully helps move things along in the case of hardware failures

Given the description of the error and the fact that the SD card works in the other 3 boards fine it strongly indicates that the SD card socket is either not soldered perfectly or somehow otherwise failed. If you've gone through the SD card troubleshooting link posted above and still unable to get the card to mount then we shall replace the board under warranty. Please contact E3D and initiate a warranty return. Please point them towards this thread as authorization. Sorry for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience.
