Can I use a common ground on multiple IOs
-
I have a desire to connect five momentary action switches to multiple IO connectors on a Duet 3 main board. Each switch will trigger a different macro. The switches will be connected between GND and IO.in. Is there any reason why I can't connect one side of all the switches to a common GND and just connect the other side of each switch to the various IO.in pins? It would mean that I can use 6 core cable instead of 10 core. If so, is there anything I should look out for? i.e. should I use screened cable?

Yes you can use a common ground for multiple ioX.in pins.
