Main bed , what is the correct way to terminate ?
-
Hi , I'm starting to build a BLV mgn Cube.
Made a simple test rig to test out my duet 3 mini , just to test out the motors , endstops , bltouch etc .Thinking of using a 220v mains heated bed , But now thinking what is the safe way externally terminate it ?, is there any small mains plug like the XT60/90s which I wouldn't want to use for 220v or do I use a screw terminals and enclose it ?

@peter247, I use a terminal block for all mains-voltage wiring, as in this photo.
The bed heater isn't connected in this photo, but it is connected to the two leftmost terminals of the terminal block, with strain relief provided by zipties holding the cable to the base plate. This wiring is all underneath the bed plate, so out of the way of fingers etc.
If you have enough space, you could use Wago connectors instead.
For temporary use during testing, search for "mains connector test block".
