Duet 3 Mini 5+ for a Voron V2.4?
-
@zapta said in Duet 3 Mini 5+ for a Voron V2.4?:
@3dpmicro, last time I run PID tuning I got a warning message about a very high max temperature which cause me to be more humble when selecting heater wattage
In my current printer I have a 40W 'only nozzle heater and it still heats faster than the bed.
Cant argue with the desire to be safe

@diy-o-sphere Do you have the files for that back-side mount that you'd be willing to share? I'm getting ready to build my Voron 2.4 and I'm adding as many bells and whistles as I can

At the moment, my friend is still struggling with the connection of the energy chain. He is currently adjusting the position and size of the chain so as not to lose any space in the x-direction. As soon as this works he will share them.

Any issue with the Tool Board electronics operating in the enclosed and hotter than usual Voron V2.4 chamber?
-
@zapta At 60 degrees in the chamber, it works for me without any problems
-
@zapta This is my solution with the Galileo variant of the clockwork extruder

My Voron V2.4 is working now with a Mini5+2 WiFi, RRF, no SBC and the Mini5 seems to be a very good fit. Coming from Duet2, it has nice touches such as 30 tolerance (for an Omron probe), external antenna, 12V DC/DC for fans, Neo Pixels outputs, small footprint for 7 drivers configuration, and more.
My only complains is the add on +2 drivers board hanging below the main board with. I would prefer to have a single board with 7 drivers.

@pixelpieper or anybody else, is there anywhere I can download these files for the 1.1v mount?
#edit. Found semi-hidden in Github! https://github.com/christophmuellerorg/VoronUsers/tree/afterburner_1LC/printer_mods/christophmueller/Voron2-Gallileo-Afterburner-Duet-1LC
Thanks Jim

After using a Voron 2.4 with a stand alone Duet Mini5+2, I am in the opinion that's an excellent fit. Just saying.

@zapta thanks for confirming this!
