m303 - how long to complete?
-
I am doing a heater tuning. This is the first tuning I have ever done with the cooling fan:
m303 t3 s220 f0.5 p1It's been about 30 minutes and phase 5 (tuning with fan on) is still going on.
How long should this phase normally take? -
@jens55 I've had tool tuning take a while before. Just stick with it and it will eventually finish
-
Ok, it finally stopped after 45 minutes of phase 5 with the following message:
Warning: heater behaviour was not consistent during tuning
Warning: Turning on the print cooling fan did not increase hot end cooling. Check that the correct fan has been configured.
Auto tuning heater 4 completed after 3 idle and 30 tuning cycles in 3158 seconds. This heater needs the following M307 command: -
@jens55 save it anyway and hopefully you'll be ok
-
@jay_s_uk, yes I have saved it. It did run the right fan during tuning so I am not sure why it is reporting errors.
I have never run tuning with the part cooling fan on ... not sure if I want to run the other 3 tools through this exercise. -
Go figure - I ran another tool and phase 5 took only 5 minutes and no errors.
