I am trying to set up mirror printing on my IDEX Printer with Haq XY Style belts. The duplication mode is already working.

I thought from there I could just invert the U-Axis for mirror mode and be done.
The problem is that inverting the U-Axis motor messes up the belt kinematics.
Inverting the U-Axis movement by adjusting the kinematics on the go is not possible, since it requires rehoming the printer….which is not possible with the adjusted kinematics. 😵

      Ideas are welcome.
      Cheers Max

@maxgyver you don't need to change the kinematics if you use M579 as described at the end of https://duet3d.dozuki.com/Wiki/ConfiguringMultipleIndependentXcarriagesCartesian#Section_Sample_IDEX_tool_configuration.

Could you drive the second X axis to the outer limit, change kinematics and then use G92 Uxx to fake a new homed position?

Yes, it works! This obvious fix did not cross my mind. 😅

@dc42 That's one of the hidden treasures in your Gcode empire.
I've always used the mirror function of netfabb for that...

I'd propose to rename the misleading title from scale Cartesian axes to scale/mirror any axes as it works especially well for non cartesian kinematics.
