      Hi,

      Sometimes i am having errors when calibrate my delta, with a BlTouch, i have this error message, from DWC:

      • Error: Z probe was not triggered during probing move

      And calibration finish with a error...

      I understand, I'm not sure, that when you try a point in the calibration ... or start too high or not enough down the print head to find the bed

      I think I remember that this could be adjusted ... but I do not remember how.

      How do you adjust the distance that the head goes down to look for the bed?

      or

      How do I start the calibration closer to the bed?

      Thank you

        Hi,

        for the moment, i have changed this

        M558 P9 X0 Y0 Z1 H5 F120 T5000 ;

        To

        M558 P9 X0 Y0 Z1 H10 F120 T5000 ;

        If i have understand, H is the probing distance.... for the moment, with this avoid no triggers, but... i think head start probing moves far from bed... i am still interested in reduce this moves....

          That's correct, the M558 H parameter controls both the initial height above where the firmware thinks the bed ought to be at which probing starts, and the maximum probing distance (which is twice the H value). So if your delta printer is not well calibrated, or if you have changed something that may affect the calibration, use a large H value. When it is well-calibrated and you have copied the new parameters into config.g, you can use a smaller H value.

            That should be in the docs for M558.

            I was wondering why things weren't working as I expected - now I know.

            Thanks.

              @dc42 Ok... But a What height start to probing? That it depends on the height at which it begins to taste. Of the dimensions of the printer?

                    I am using the wizard in web [http://www.escher3d.com/pages/wizards/wizardbed.php](link url) for generate bed.g, but when i try to select 12 and 6 halfway points, the wizard says a message that the limit of points its 16, but....

                    i am member of a facebook group of Duet in Tevo Little Monster, and have in files section a bed.g file that have 24 points, and add this gcode at start of file "M561; clear any bed transform"

                    Some answers/dudes:

                    • This extra points, 24-16=8, are taken into account for the calibration?
                    • The gcode, M561, its useful at start of bed.g? what is your function?
                    • In my case... when i calibrate, after calibrate, in the second calibration, the deviation is less. How many times its recommend calibrate?
                    • Calibration... After o before compensation? or After and before?

                      @peirof, that wizard is a little old now. Does the wizard in the configurator at https://configurator.reprapfirmware.org/ allow you more points?

                      If you are using both auto calibration and bed compensation, you must run auto calibration before mesh bed probing.

                        @dc42 David

                        I have just checked the configurator and it will allow 17 points max (10 + 6 + centre) and only allow 3-7 factor calibration as well.

                        I still use the wizard on your site to be fair.

                        Doug (see you at TCT)

                          Hi,

                          the configurator inRepRAp configurator, allow the same points that the configurator in Escher Escher configurator. The dude, the same...

                          • The bed.g in Tevo Little Monster Duet user group, has 24 points.... these points are taken into accoint for calibration?
