      Hello,

I presently have the Duet WiFi board and I’m building my own version of a Core XY printer with tool changing capabilities. I’m looking at using 5 tool heads.

Can anyone please tell me what all is required as far as electronics goes to help me finish my printer.

Any help would be much appreciated and thank you to all who reply!

As far as electronics goes, you'll also need a DueX5 to drive the additional extruder motors, heaters and fans.

Yeah the Duet Wifi board and the Duex5 should be all you need. If your extruders use anything other than thermistors (like thermocouples), you might need daughterboards.

Can a DuetWifi and Duex5 connect 5 or more daughterboards? Would benfish65 need one daughterboard per thermocouple?

You can install 2 daughter boards on the Duet and another 2 on the DueX5, to get a total of 8 PT100 and/or thermocouple inputs.

Moin, I just grilled my Duet TC daughterboard by shortening it with the hotend pin. In order to still print some christmas presents in time, I would like to replace it with an Adafruit Max 31856 that I have at hand. Iam using at DuetWifi in combination with a Duex5 so I guess it can only be connected to the TC daughterboard pins, correct? If so, GND should go to pin 2: GND, Vin to pin 8: 3,3V, SCK to pin 4:SPIO_SCK, SDO to pin 5: SPIO_MOSI, SDI to pin 6: SPIO_MISO and CS to pin 1: CS6 (or any other CS pin in case i want to stack them?), right?
