I am currently running a Duet Wifi 1.02 on my modified Anycubic I3 Acrylic printer that uses 3 relays to switch the magnetic dual extruder parking on tool change. 2 relays for the extruders (1 per extruder) plus 1 for the model fan.

I am building a new printer (corexy) and did order a maestro board but didn't notice that this has a lower current for the stepper motors. My new build uses 2.8A stepper motors.

I am thinking about to change my anycubic to the maestro and reuse the wifi for my new build as returning the maestro isn't easy. I have ordered from the US (with the expansion module) and got it shipped to Germany, already having received it.

Before going through the trouble of exchanging the board in the existing anycubic printer I would like to know if
the maestro is able to control the three relays ? I use a piezo probe for the z-probe.

I someone from Germany/EU want's to have my brand new (not yet opened) maestro+expansion package in an exchange for a fully working duet wifi don't hesitate to message me 😉

The Maestro has 4 expansion pins (not counting the ones that support the extra 2 drivers on the expansion board), and it should be possible to drive those and also the Z probe MOD pin using M42. If your relays are actually relay modules with opto isolated inputs, then you can probably drive them from the expansion pins directly.

Yes they are opto isolated. Thank you very much.
When my current print finishes I'll give it a try and will report back about my progress/issues in the next few days.

See https://duet3d.dozuki.com/Wiki/Using_servos_and_controlling_unused_IO_pins#Section_Duet_2_Maestro for the mapping between firmware logical pin numbers and the expansion pins.

The first step, moving the duet wifi from the cartesian style to the new core-xy style one did work fine without bigger issues.
The wiki about the corexy configuration and bltouch did help a lot 👍

A broken wire (white one, probe) in my bltouch and a bad crimped contact on the y-connected cable to the stepper-motor were the biggest issues.
