3P Bed leveling script?
-
I am looking for a script to level my bed with 3 points. It has to stop at one point and wait for me to say next with using DWC - I am confused about this in RRF as I was told G32 is phased out? Can I use G32 for this or do I need a script?
I am not capable to make such a script and would think this is an option that probably is available on all 3d printers but I can not find it in RRF - How do I get this on my machines?
Does bed.g Has anything to do with this? As a marlin person I find RRF confusing when coming to adding features

Do you mean leveling using independent motors to adjust lead screws?
https://duet3d.dozuki.com/Wiki/Bed_levelling_using_multiple_independent_Z_motorsor do you mean physically adjusting leveling screws yourself with a screwdriver?
https://duet3d.dozuki.com/Wiki/Using_the_manual_bed_levelling_assistantG32 = bed.g, so whatever you put into bed.g will get run when you send G32.

The part of G32 which is "phased out" as you say is the simple plane adjustment it would do from a few points provided. That functionality has been subsumed by G29 and mesh grid compensation, which is more flexible since you can use a grid with just a few points and get the same results, or you can use a grid with many points and get a more detailed adjustment matrix.

https://duet3d.dozuki.com/Wiki/GCode#Section_G29_Detailed_Z_ProbeYou can use a script to do pretty much anything, but I'm not sure exactly what you want.
Leveling and probing is one of the more complicated aspects for sure. There are a lot of options.

If you're talking about the physical bed levelling process: When you get it running remember that one cycle may not get it perfect. On the core xy I used to run I needed to run it three times in order for it to converge on the perfect solution.

Thanks again for helping - I am so lost in the rrf world

https://duet3d.dozuki.com/Wiki/Using_the_manual_bed_levelling_assistant^^ I think this is what I am looking for - I just want the simplest form of manual bed leveling by 3 points - One motor - No compensation needed or wanted
Looks like I need to add M671 - I dont really understand what is going on but I will try to figure it out. I struggle to find all my marlin features I am sorry
I am just a mechanical engineer so this firmware stuff is not my strong suite

Thanks, I have that covered thanks. I might sound like a noob but it is just RRF I can wrap my head around as I need to figure out how to get the features I am used to having as stock
