Hello,
I have a E3D Toolchanger with a Duet Wifi and a Duex v0.9a. I have recently installed a Hermera tool head and reworked the wiring to achieve this, but now unfortunately I am now getting the following errors:
Error: short-to-ground reported by driver(s) 5 6 7 8 9
Error: over temperature shutdown reported by driver(s) 5 6 7 8 9
I was able to print a few part with new Hermera tool head, but it started to fail due to the hotend not holding tempurature (I think there was an open circuit error if I remember correctly). I wasn't sure why that was happening and didn't immediately think to check the wiring before attempting to print a few more times. Unfortunately, about the third time I tried, I heard what sounded like electrical spark I have been getting the short-to-ground error above ever since.
I am not very experienced in working with electronics wiring so there is good chance I caused a short in wiring at the new Hermera tool head. I have examined my wiring at the tool head to see if there was a obvious location where short might have occurred, but I didn't find one. Now I have removed all but the power in and data cable from Duex but the error persists.
Is there any hope for rescuing the Duex or will need to replace it?
Thanks,
Guy
