I have a new config.g file with 552 set to P0.0.0.0 S1 and when I run 552 S1 it returns 192.168.1.14, which is the factory setting. Any suggestions?

Is the router perhaps just giving it the same ip address it had before? Or are you in a different subnet?

If you send M552 S1 P0.0.0.0 in the console does it accept it?

Could you please post your entire config.g?

I wonder if you may be affected by the same issue reported here: https://forum.duet3d.com/topic/11878/updated-to-firmware-2-03-wifi-not-working

I found the IP address assigned to the Ethernet and sent put it in through YAT. Only now when I disconnect the usb cable from teh DUET2 and power the board with my power supply YAT no longer has a comm port. How do I get web controller to communicate via the Ethernet connection?

Can you post your config file?

Did you check the link I posted earlier?

Yes, I checked the link and I don't have an M911 in my config. I have the same config file that came with the board with only the M552 is changed to P0.0.0.0 instead of the factory setting.

@kthoma85 said in Dynamic IP set up in config.g doesn't work:

with only the M552 is changed to P0.0.0.0 instead of the factory setting.

you'll probably want to remove the other network config lines

(i.e. first getting a dynamic address and overwriting the gateway is a bad idea unless you happen to be on the same subnet. same with the netmask, although /24 is quite common. you don't want to override the mac address either, unless you have a specific reason to do so)

Remove the lines and just use M552 S1, that should allow DHCP to pull an IP address along with the gateway, etc, and let the MAC address of the hardware speak for itself.
