Filament-change.g

So you have pause.g calling filament-change.g, and filament-change.g calls purge.g, but instead of running purge.g at that point the print resumes. Is that what you are saying?
-
@dc42 exactly, do you want me to give you all the gcodes and meta of these ?
-
Yes please. Also, please confirm you are running firmware 3.01-RC6.
-
@dc42 Sure I'm running the 3.01-RC6. So there are the files
pause.g
filament-change.g
Purge.g -
@dc42 Hi, have you got a bit of a time to look at it ?
-
Yes. Please try 3.01-RC7. I made a change in that version which I think will fix it.
-
@dc42 So i tested it again on 3.01RC7, exactly the same result, it'll be easy to get around with the new M291 in 3.02 as i will be able to integrate the purge macro in the filament-change.g
-
3.01-RC8 still react the same
-
Thanks, added to my list of things to investigate.
-
@dc42 Thanks, i'll overcome this when 3.02 will be here, if you need me to test it another time later, don't hesitate
-
@Krohm-Koala, please can you try release 3.01-RC10 and see if the problem is still present.
-
@dc42 i just tested it, so, it's still here, still resume and launch the macro at the same time, blocking everything.
-
I'm sorry, I can't reproduce this, using 3.01-RC10 on Duet 3. I had to edit your files a little to make them work on my machine, but they seem to be working. It does runs the purge macro, which asks me if I want to purge. If I say yes, it purges, then asks me again; and so on until I response with Cancel. Then it thanks me for changing the filament.
However, I did notice that the messages that don't have an "OK" button are displayed only on DWC, not on PanelDue as well.
-
I'm using a duet 2 wifi, maybe that's the reason ^^ if you want, maybe I can film what happened to let you see and maybe upload my whole config files, maybe something is wrong ^^
-
Are you absolutely certain you are running 3.01-RC10? Send M115 to check.
Duet 2 and 3 firmware are built from the same source code, so it's unlikely that this sort of fault would affect one and not the other.
-
Yes absolutely sure, that's what appear in dwc and with the M115 I'll upload my whole sys/ folder and film what happens so you can see exactly what it does

Here is the video : https://vimeo.com/412688450
the config is here : https://mega.nz/file/eQpC2ayT#4tPTbsP3_YXheCTRxhzMyoEwRT6AAZKng-Vt3GKG3ck
i hope it can help

@dc42 Hi, i've tested some thing such as, different directory for the purge macro, even put it in sys folder, always the same thing... I also put it out of the filament-change.g, so in my pause.g, i run the purge.g after the filament-change.g, it does exactly the same thing... I also try without the purge, i goes really good ._. don't know why it does that ... maybe i'll try something else later if i got some idea. Maybe i should delete the config.json and config.g.bak but should do anything.
Thanks for your time
