      Another one for DC42,

      David,

I've just redesigned my extruder carriage to take 5 extruders instead of the current 3. If you recall, I have the extruders mounted on a separate gantry above the main coreXY axes but being passively dragged around . I think with this extra weight, the time has come to seriously consider driving this second gantry. Essentially two CoreXY systems, one mounted above the other. So two more motors mimicking exactly the existing two XY motors. Is that doable by mapping drives or some such?

With 5 extruders and 4 XY motors plus the single Z motor, that will take up all 10 stepper drivers of the Duet+Duex5.

You can either use series-connected motors, or use M584 to map X and Y to additional drivers.
