A month or so ago I bought a Duet 2 Wifi and got it up and running. My wifi was not strong enough where I use it to be reliable so I ordered a Ethernet board intending to swap them out. I carefully removed one connector at a time from the wifi board and placed it onto the new Ethernet board. I also swapped the SD card so all my configuration changes would move over.
First boot up it gives me a heater 1 thermistor error. I check all the connections and all seems well but the error won't clear. I decide to go through a jumper reset cycle and see if that fixes it. After the jumper reset the board comes up on the LCD but the diag light shows and the board is unreachable by Ethernet. So I connect the board to the USB on my computer and the port shows in Win 10 device manager not as Duet 2 but as Bossa Program Port. I figure out that I need to follow "Fallback procedure #3" from https://duet3d.dozuki.com/Wiki/Installing_and_Updating_Firmware.
I go through the steps to connect and send file Duet2CombinedFirmware.bin to the board then reset the board but after doing so the board remains unresponsive in YAT and the port remains "Bossa Program Port".
I think in the end I'll find out the board is defective because my wiring is fine but I need to get the board back up to verify it either fixed the issue or is still in the same state.
Any help on getting the op-sys back on the board?

        Hi,

Were you ever able to connect via the Ethernet connection?

Yes, before I reset the board firmware.

okay, I am back connected with Ethernet. Whew! I just needed to follow the "Fallback procedure #3" instructions exactly. hehe
Believe it or not, it DID fix my thermistor issue!
So I am up and running.
