What DWC version? I assume you have a password set on the Duet?

I think 90% of my printers will have these settings but also some are pretty old and havent been touched in a year or more but all have the same issue:

        Duet 2 WiFi/Ethernet 3.1.1 (2020-05-19b2)
        Duet WiFi Server Version: 1.23

        config.g
        ; Network
        M551 P"*******" ; set password
        M586 P0 S1 ; enable HTTP
        M586 P1 S0 ; disable FTP
        M586 P2 S0 ; disable Telnet
M552 S1 ; Turn wifi module back on

Thanks. @chrishamm would be able to tell you the expected behaviour. I don't run with a password set so I can't say I've ever noticed that.

I thought about disabling the password but we just have so many printers on line that if someone managed to access them they could probably burn the building down a country away lol. If it came down to it, Ill get a few new access points and run them on an off line server. I was hoping for a easy fix because I generally assume I've done something wrong because I'm a machinist lmao

weird thing I just discovered, it seems like it is on the device end. If I have my computer DWC tab open and logged in then login with my ipad at the same time then swipe to another application on the ipad and back, the ipad will make me login again but the computer browser stays logged in and functional.

@LeckieTech said in DWC is logging out upon computer sleeping:

my problem has been when the computer goes to sleep at night, in the morning all the pages require me to refresh the pages then re enter the login credentials

If you have to refresh the page (i.e. reload the web page) then that counts as a new session, and you will need to enter the password again.

If the computer goes to sleep but when it wakes up you don't need to reload the web page, then the session to the Duet will have been lost; but DWC will automatically try the password that you entered previously, so you won't need to re-enter it.

Is there a workaround to keep the machine password protected and not have this happen?

No, the problem is your device needing you to reload the page.

Please upgrade RRF and DWC to 3.2.2 and check if that resolves the issue. I remember fixing at least one related problem after v3.1.1.
