We just completed our testing of the new motor brake functionality in 3.4b3 and only found one issue, which is significant. When upgrading the firmware, power to the stepper motors is removed but the brakes do not engage. In all other cases when the motors are disabled, the brakes correctly engage.

Please let us know if there is anything further we can research or test. Overall, this is a great feature and we are hoping there is time to correct this issue prior to the release of 3.4.

Bumping this to make sure it doesn't get overlooked.. @dc42 - any chance you can weigh in on it? Without it, we won't be able to use this new feature. Thanks

@oozebot this should be fixed in the next build.

@dc42 please let us know if there is an interim build you’d like us to test prior to releasing the next beta. Thanks again!
