      Hello D3D!

      A few years ago, I bought a smart effector. I have a v2.0 board.

I tried to set this up with a non-Duet board, and was mostly successful, then did something bad, and decided to rebuild the printer.

And set it aside for 3 years...

The effector and hot end were in service for less than 3 hours.

      So, the questions:

      1. Is the Duet 3 Mini 5 compatible with a v2 Smart Effector? I think that it is, but I want an explicit yes or no.
      2. Can I buy a new set of connectors which would be compatible with both from Duet3d, Or can I get a list of what to buy from someplace like Mouser or Digi-Key?
      3. Can I get an RTFM ref for hooking up the v2 Smart Effector to the Mini 5? My so-called search skills have been failing me all weekend...

      Thanks!

      -Sean

        1. Yes. My own delta printer uses a Duet 3 Mini.
        2. We supply crimp connectors with the Mini5+.
        3. You will need to terminate the wires from the 8-pin connector on the Smart Effector in the appropriate Molex KK connectors. You will also need to crimp a JST VH connector on the heater wires. See the Duet 3 column of the tables at https://docs.duet3d.com/Duet3D_hardware/Accessories/Smart_Effector#description-of-connections.

          Thank you!

I remember you from other forums, talking up the joy of deltas! You were the voice in the hubbub that convinced me to build a delta from a kit, not that we had any direct interaction, but you always had the right bit of info, and there was that awesome bed calibration calculator you had posted online...

Looking forward to having the delta doing it's thing again.

Thanks again for your quick response and helpful answers.
