I am aware that some users have found that when their legacy Duet boards are upgraded to later firmware versions, the board will no longer boot up unless either the SD card is removed or a static IP address is set in the M552 command. I have not been able to reproduce this.

If this issue is affecting you and you want it fixed, please provide:

      1. Your config.g file
      2. The version number of RepRapFirmware that you were having trouble with
      3. The Duet board version you were using (06 or 085).

This is urgent, because there is very little time for me to make changes before the 1.21 release. The next planned release (2.0) will be for the SAM4 and upwards-based Duets only.

        Hey David,
How should we provide the config.g files? E-Mail, or post it here?
You should have mine already since weeks… I was one of the first to get affected. My duet is 0.85, and I am still on FW1.18, be ause the 1.19 was not stable and all above is not working with the symptoms you have described above...

Post here, or post to a file sharing site and post the link here.

It would be helpful if you can confirm that the issue is still present in firmware 1.21RC3.

Thanks. Please try firmware 1.21RC4 when I release it later today because it contains a change that may be relevant to this issue. Meanwhile i will try your config.g on one of my older Duets.

EDIT: I just tried your config.g on a Duet 085 running 1.21RC2, after changing it back to dynamic IP. It starts up with no apparent problem; so unfortunately I am none the wiser. I'll try it on a Duet 06 too but I doubt that it will behave any differently.

Has anyone who was experiencing this problem tried ReprapFirmware 1.21RC5 yet?
