Manual Z probing, stop hiding and showing the modal

I like the manual probing method, but it actually takes quite a bit longer because I have to wait for the modal to disappear and come back.

I know it's a way to prevent interaction during the state change, but that can be done in other ways, like disabling and enabling the form. It would be very helpful.
