Blocking access to configuration files

Is there a way to hide or block the access to the system configuration files of the Duet ?
I want to prevent the operator (client) to mess up with the configuration

I did talk to the fella that works on the web control (Chrisam?) and one of the people from T3P3 at the TCT show about this and think there is intent to add some sort of user level control rather than a log in/out that gives one, total level of access.
I guess the issue at the moment is anyone can pull the SD card out and read the plain text passwords, but that can be mitigated by meeding tools or a key to get access to the board.

to prevent removing the SD I will put a warranty void sticker, at least the user knows and can choose.
