Mac first time configuration duet maestro usb issue

Hi guys!
I just finished up the hardware installation on my new duet maestro and wanted to configure it. I've followed the instructions but didn't get far. The usb port just doesn't show up in the terminal and also not in the System Information under connected usb devices. I already had usb driver issues with my old ramps + cheap knock-off Arduino where the board could not be found, but this time i can't find any drivers to solve the issue!
I've already tried multiple usb cables but no success.
I'd appreciate the help

Try a powered USB hub or another computer.
