Converting TronXY X5SA Pro to Duet 2 Wifi
-
Hello all, and Happy Holidays!
I recently bought a TronXY X5SA Pro and after some very poor prints, decided to upgrade it to the Duet 2 Wifi. But, while following instruction on setting up YAT and attempting to access the web interface using RRF, I ran into a few roadblocks that I would like to ask for advice on getting past.

No matter what browser I use, I either get "This site can’t be reached" or "Not Secure" when attempting to reach the IP address. Do I need to tell Kasperski security to stop or?...
-
Is Marlin still an impossible option?

"Not secure", thats just the way it is, but if you need https you can relatively easily achieve this with something like nginx, on the other hand the printer really shouldn't be exposed to a public network anyway so security isn't a big concern for most.
If the Duet Web Control files are present on the SD card and you can ping the duet IP then you probably have to go kick the tyres on a firewall indeed.

i hate to break it to you, but if the basis you are starting out is not good, then a duet cant do much either.
have you identified the problems with the printer?
i.e. prints have ringing -> improve the sturdiness of the frame. one of the key weakness of tronxy printers
print have blobs and zits -> replace the hotend.

this is often a problem of the router.
can you ping the duet?
is your wifi and wired network separated?
does the router allow communication with wifi clients?
